Italian driver Kimi Antonelli won the Spanish Grand Prix and tightened his grip on the F1 World Drivers’ Championship. Mercedes driver Antonelli was the beneficiary of some good fortune, as world champion and race rival Lando Norris ended up falling behind to fifth due to the virtual safety car.
The McLaren driver was able to recover and climb back up to third, but ultimately the damage was already done at that point. This latest win for the Italian youngster means that he has won eight of the 14 races this term.
Next up in the calendar for F1’s racing drivers is the Azerbaijan Grand Prix in Baku, which will be over the commencing the 24th September.
