Former Manchester City and now former Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has nearly completed his move to Spanish champions Barcelona for a fee in the region of £8.6 million.
Jesus, who won the Premier League title with the Gunners, has been a bit-part player ever since Kai Havertz and Victor Gyokeres joined the club. Maybe not the most prolific, but the former Palmeiras man will bring something different to the Barca front line.
Jesus, maybe not prolific like the departed Robert Lewandowski, but his work rate will surely be a welcome addition, considering players like Yamine Yamal are better served higher up the pitch, rather than being a player for the press. The Brazilian is famed for his brilliant hold-up and link-up play.
The 29-year-old Gabriel Jesus’ arrival
During his time at Arsenal, Gabriel Jesus scored 32 goals and grabbed 22 assists in 132 appearances in what was an injury-hit four-year spell in the capital.
