After an embarrassing defeat to England at Headingley, Pakistan’s cricketers will have a chance to do better at Lord’s in the second test, which starts on Thursday 27th August.
The tourists should have captain Babar Azam back after the skipper injured his hand in a practice game. Azam’s return will be a timely one for a batting line-up that lacked any fight or backbone in the face of some good English bowling.
Husnain Shah, Naseem’s younger brother, is also expected to feature. Mohammed Ali or Khurrum Shahzad will most likely make way for the Pakistani pacer. These two changes, one could argue, are desperately needed, but will they have the respect Pakistan needs?
Only time will tell. The second test between the two sides will be this Thursday at Lord’s, the home of cricket.
