New manager Ruben Amorim has made his first signing as AC Milan boss with the £60 million capture of Portuguese Goncalo Ramos. Ramos, formerly of Benfica and PSG, joins the Rossaneri, who have come off the back of a desperate season.
The seven-time European giants have moved early to sign the former PSG frontman. With previous signings in the striking department not working. Players such as Kristof Piantek and Santiago Gimenez are also initially struggling too; the pressure is going to be on the former Benfica man.
Having played in the shadow of one of the greatest ever players, Cristiano Ronaldo, and being second fiddle in a successful Paris Saint-Germain side, with Ramos being the main man, this might be a challenging prospect.
Arguably, the 25-year-old has been a super-sub. Sometimes the super-sub is just that, a substitute. Here’s to hoping AC Milan gets this signing right, as there is very little margin for error.
