Club legend is a phrase that might not get used too much in the modern era, but one player you can describe as a club legend is Real Madrid club-captain Dani Carvajal, the Spanish right-back who has amassed 450 appearances for the club.
Carvajal,34, who scored 14 goals for Los Blancos in his time in the Spanish capital, joined the clubs academy in 2002. In 2013, the right-back did spend a loan with German side Bayer Leverkusen, but once he returned back from that loan spell, he became a main stay in the Real back-line for over a decade.
Due to injuries and the arrival of Trent Alexander-Arnold from Liverpool, the 24-year-old has seen his game time reduce this term. Despite a tough season, Dani Carvajal will go down as a club legend due to what he had achieved with the club.
In his 23-years as a Real Madrid player, Carvajal won six Champions League titles, becoming one of just five players to do so. As well as success in Europe, the defender won four La Liga crowns, two Copa Del Rey titles as well as six Club World Cups, five UEFA Super Cups and four Spanish Super Cups.
It’s not just domestically that Carvajal has enjoyed success, with his native Spain has won 51 caps since 2014 and has the Nations League in 2023 and the European Championship in 2024, where they beat England in the final.
Carvajal’s next club is not clear, but most likely the Real Madrid legend will most likely go to the MLS, well this is what we think anyway.
