The Scottish Premier League title will go down to the final day after Celtic scored a last-gasp penalty from Kehlechi Ihennacho to help them overcome a brave Motherwell side, 3-2.

Hearts had emphatically defeated Falkirk 3-0, and when The Hoops were drawing with Well, it appeared this epic title race had all but ended its course. Just like it has been all season, there was a twist in the tale, courtesy of the boot of former Leicester striker Iheanacho.

Glasgow rivals Rangers, who a month ago were very much in this title race, are now well and truly out of it, after enduring a wretched run of form. Defeats to Hearts, Motherwell, Celtic and Hibs last time out has ruined what was a promising season, especially considering the way the 55-time Scottish champions started their campaign.

As for Celtic, they have been marred with off-field issues too. Former treble-winning manager Brendan Rodgers was ruthlessly given the axe, and his replacement, Wilfred Nancy, struggled. Interim manager, club legend Martin O’Neil, has got The Bhoys at least in with a slight chance.

Celtic will probably need to win and win big. Six goals without reply is what the Dr. is ordering, shouldn’t be too difficult, should it?
