Scotland captain and Liverpool vice-captain Andy Robertson will be leaving the club at the end of the season, it has been announced. The former Celtic trainee joined The Reds from Hull and quickly established himself as the first-choice full-back under Jurgen Klopp.

During his time at Anfield, Robertson, 32, has won everything that club football has to offer. A Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup and of course the Premier League title.

Another League title followed with Arne Slot in charge, but the Dutchman’s second season has seen Scottish International Robertson have less playing time. Former Bournemouth and current Hungarian International Milos Kerkez has been the preferred choice as Liverpool’s left-back.

There was said to be an agreement for Andy Robertson to join Tottenham in January, but the move didn’t materialise. Atletico Madrid and Spurs will be interested come the end of the season, when the former Hull man leaves Anfield.

For Liverpool in general, this signifies a period of transition. It was only a few weeks ago that it was announced that Robertson’s teammate, Mohammed Salah, will also be leaving at the end of the season.
