Benjamin Sesko proved to be the match-winner again, as Manchester United edged out Everton 1-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. This defeat for The Toffee’s sees them continue their woeful home form of late.

The Red Devils, who haven’t played for a fortnight, were a bit lethargic and were indebted to Samme Lemnens, who arguably produced a man-of-the-match display to keep Everton at bay.

In the reverse fixture, Idrissa Gueye and teammate Michael Keane would square up to each other, but there was no repeat of that here. This win for The Reds, Michael Carrick’s fifth in six matches as manager, keeps their top-four hopes well and truly alive.

As for Everton, this defeat against United sees them remain in ninth.
