Hello, good evening dear reader, I hope you’re well. For the loyal readers amongst you, then you will know that there was a period where I would write my Man City won’t win the Premier League article, but then The Blues would go on to prove me wrong.
Despite Pep selling key players, the Spaniard managed to find that right blend to win the League. On the other hand, there would always be a period where I would predict the Arsenal would slip up and lose out in the title race (bottlers).
Whereas with City, I had been wrong, but not in the last two seasons, as Man City are currently going through a trophy drought. Arsenal, just like Manchester City, are out to try and prove me wrong.
Never mind the lightbulb team talk, I can imagine Arteta saying in his voice, we need to stop that Ayyaz Malik, he thinks he’s funny, but in reality, he’s a bald-headed fraud, who should stick to writing.
So in my capacity as writer, it appears we have a case of De ja Vu, and I am going to write about it. The 14-time Premier League champions Arsenal, who haven’t won the League title since 2004, and haven’t won any silverware since 2021, appear to be in familiar waters.
To think other managers have been shown the door for having achieved a lot more, wow. Of course, there are twists and turns, but yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Wolves, where Arsenal were 2-0 in front, says the signs don’t look to be good.
The North London side are five points ahead, but it’s the fact that both sides need to play each other, and Arsenal have played a game more. It’s perceptions, and the perception I am getting is that Arsenal’s wretched form doesn’t look like ending just yet.
What more can they do? Arsenal do have the best squad in the League, but the League isn’t won on skill alone.
