Former Premier League winners Manchester City kept pace with current League leaders Arsenal, with a 3-0 win over Fulham. Goals from Antoine Semenyo, Nico O’Reilly and Erling Haaland helped, City close the gap to three points for now.

Going into this game, Man City were no doubt expecting to win the game, but one can’t underestimate the West London side. To be fair, they have brought some players in this January transfer window.

As we get towards the end of the season, it would be understandable if City’s performance did drop off. Pep’s men first and foremost need results; performances always come later.

Next up for Arsenal is the unenviable task of beating Brentford, who have done exceptionally well under the guidance of the former Republic of Ireland midfielder.
