Just when they thought it couldn’t get worse, reportedly it looks set to be. Premier League side Crystal Palace who have lost Captain Marc Guehi and manager Oliver Glasner at the end of the season, look set to lose Jean-Philip Mateta.
The 28-year-old Mateta was the subject of intense transfer speculation last season, where the French Olympic striker was set to join 20-time Premier League side Manchester United.
For one reason or another, that move didn’t materialise, and Mateta stayed in South London. Upon hearing that news, Palace fans would have been happy, but their joy appears to be short-lived as their star striker is reportedly plotting a move to Italian giants Juventus.
With Adam Wharton also heavily linked with a move this summer, it’s fair to say it’s testing times for The Eagles, which has only got harder as they now will be looking for a new head coach for next season.
