A Premier League classic was produced during Monday Night Football as Bournemouth rescued a point away to Manchester United.
There were eight different goal scorers which is certainly a rare occurrence for a high-scoring match.
The Red Devils broke the deadlock inside 13 minutes as Amad Diallo had an open goal to himself after Diogo Dalot’s deflected cross.
In the 40th minute, Antoine Semenyo equalised with a solo goal, making it on the scoresheet for the first time since the beginning of October.
Just before half-time, Bruno Fernandes’ corner found the head of Casemiro at the back post which just had enough power to put it past Djorjde Petrovic, giving United the lead at the break.
Seconds into the second half, Evanilson put The Cherries back on level terms after Marcus Tavernier assisted a nice through ball with the Brazilian slotting the ball into the bottom corner.
Six minutes later, Tavernier scored a free-kick which caught Senne Lammens by surprise as he gave Andoni Iraola’s side the lead.
In the 77th minute, Fernandes scored a free-kick of his own which curled straight into the corner.
Two minutes later, a Man Utd counterattack saw Sesko play the ball into the box with Adrien Truffert blocking the pass, only to put it on a plate for Matheus Cunha who made Old Trafford go wild, firing United back into the lead.
However, the travelling side found their opportunity for an equaliser as Alex Jimenez played the perfect pass into Eli Junior Kroupi who place his effort on target and in the bottom corner to make it 4-4.
Bournemouth came close to snatching a winner in the 96th minute as David Brooks’ header from the edge of the six-yard area was denied by Lammens to keep a hard-fought point in a chaotic game.
The result leaves Amorim’s side just two points away from a Champions League spot, while The Cherries are only eight points away from the relegation zone and are now winless in seven games.
