It is incredible yet unsurprising that Luke Littler conquers in another tournament as he wins the Players Championship Finals for the first time.

‘The Nuke’ takes home his sixth trophy in a PDC premier event this year, just proving why he currently is the best darts player in the world.

It wasn’t the easiest of journeys to claim even more greatness as tough competition and recognisable rivals awaited the 18-year-old.

Littler’s first matchup came against the Swede player, Jeffrey de Graaf, winning 6-1 in comfortable fashion.

The Warrington superstar then faced the #12 ranked, Ross Smith, executing an average of 107.15 to victor 6-3.

Into the last 16, Littler took on a familiar foe as he defeated Ricardo Pietreczko 10-6, producing a bit of showboating after checking out with two bullseyes for a 121.

Chris Dobey was the next victim of The Nuke’s path of destruction as a 10-5 win booked Littler into the semi-final.

While the scores became a lot closer, the averages were increasing as Littler beat Gerwyn Price 11-8, securing his place into the final.

Nathan Aspinall was the last opponent to bring the young darts player down, but he couldn’t do enough as Littler defeated ‘The Asp’ 11-8 to win the tournament in Minehead.

The World Championship is up next which will certainly be the most exciting time for darts fans, and it’s very clear who will be the strong favourite to win the iconic tournament as the defending champion aims to keep his success going.
