There were plenty of Combat Sports events taking place over the weekend, but one out of a few which did stand out was BKFC 82.
Bare Knuckle Boxing has gradually gained more popularity with the raw brutality and street fight-esk style.
Especially after former UFC Champion, Conor McGregor, became a part-owner of the organisation.
But in this particular event which was held at the Prudential Center in Newark, a King and Queen of Violence were crowned.
The face of BKFC
In the headliner, Perry took on Jeremy Stephens for the King of Violence belt, with both fighters undefeated in the organisation.
The battle started off as a close contest as Lil Heathen did get off to a rather strong start.
However, as the fight went on, Perry became more confident and comfortable, managing to land six knockdowns before the referee was forced to stop the bout by TKO in the last round.
With another former UFC fighter conquered in BKFC, and remaining as the King of Violence, ‘Platinum’ will be carefully thinking who he wants to square off with next.
Christine Ferea becomes Queen of Violence
The Co-Main Event saw two of the bravest and determined female fighters go face-to-face as Ferea took on the World Featherweight Champion, Jessica Borga.
Both women exchanged knockdowns in the opening moments of the fight, making it very hard to predict who would win.
But, Ferea’s momentum would soon begin to pick up as the World Flyweight Champion managed to earn the knockout with 26 seconds left in the fourth round.
The Las Vegas fighter is now on an impressive record of 11-1 with eight finishes and isn’t looking to stop anytime soon.
