While there were doubts about how the fight card looked, Noche UFC exceeded everyone’s expectations in San Antonio.

Wild brawls, finishes and interesting moments were consistent throughout the event, making it a perfect live watch before the main card of Canelo vs Crawford began.

A perfect way for Mexican Independence Day to be celebrated by Combat Sports chaos.

The battle which drew the most attention was the main event between Brazilians, Diego Lopes and Jean Silva.

Lopes defeats Silva by TKO

A scheduled five-round bout only last two rounds which were nothing by action-packed.

The #2 Featherweight contender dominated the first round after successfully landing a takedown, before reigning hell on Silva with a ground-and-pound, almost finishing the fight.

The second round saw both men exchange powerful striking combinations, giving a lot of fans to believe that the contest would not go the distance.

With less than 30 seconds remaining of round two, Lopes landed a wicked spinning elbow, knocking down the Fighting Nerds mixed martial artist, before multiple ground strikes gave the referee no choice but to stop the battle.

The 30-year-old’s statement win puts him in a position where he could just be fighting for a UFC title again.
