It’s one of the biggest dilemmas in world football sometimes, but sometimes selling your star player is needed. Two examples of this are Man United needing to sell Bruno Fernandes and Newcastle needing to sell Alexander Isak.

Football fans, the Isak saga has overshadowed a considerable part of the window, where the Swede is alleging that certain people on Newcastle United’s side have reneged on their promise to allow him to leave the club.

The Magpies have come out and said this isn’t the case. Whether it is or isn’t, Newcastle should sell their star-forward. Easy for me to say a Man United fan? Well, the same Manchester United fan is saying to sell Bruno Fernandes, the Red Devils’ star player.

His goal contributions have been invaluable, but by selling the Portuguese it might help United and open a different dimension in team formation. Sports fans, think Jack Grealish when Aston Villa sold him for £100 million.

Selling their skipper was unthinkable, but it helped them develop to the next stage. When United, under Sir Alex, sold David Beckham, this created a little known Portuguese winger called Cristiano Ronaldo to emerge into the public sphere. he turned out alright.

Selling your star player might not always work out, but in these cases of these two Premier League giants, selling their star player, is far from the worst idea.
