The third tier of English Football commenced this week as it began with a Friday night game in Luton as The Hatters won 1-0 against AFC Wimbledon.
But that was just the beginning of an upcoming action-packed weekend.
Cardiff City began their campaign with a 2-1 victory against Peterborough, thanks to goals from Rubin Colwill and Ronan Kpakio.
Stevenage triumphed in a five-goal thriller, away at Blackpool, securing three valuable points.
Barnsley kick-started their season with a 3-1 win against Plymouth Argyle, despite Jack Shephard receiving a red card in the 63rd minute.
A battle which started with 22 players on the pitch, ended with 20 as Rotherham United succeeded with a 2-1 win over Port Vale as both teams had a player sent off.
Wigan Athletic had a comfortable opener after defeating Northampton 3-1, especially with Fraser Murray becoming the star of the show after scoring a brace.
League Two-promoted side, Bradford City, couldn’t have asked for a better start as they beat Wycombe Wanderers 2-1.
Burton Albion rocked their new club crest with a 2-1 home win against Mansfield Town.
Lincoln City’s two shots on target were nothing but the golden touch as they beat Reading 2-0.
After a frustrating 88 minutes, Doncaster Rovers defeated Exeter City with a late penalty from Luke Molyneux to snatch three points.
Finally, Huddersfield Town placed themselves at the top of the table after earning a 3-0 win against Leyton Orient.
Stockport County vs Bolton Wanderers takes place tomorrow at 12:00pm, as it may only be their opening game, but every point matters in this league.
