Manchester City’s Brazilian winger Kayky has left the club to join Bahia in a permanent move, subject to international clearance. The 22-year-old winger spent the second half of the season on loan with the Brazilian Serie A side, who are also part of the Man City football group.
Initially joining from Fluminense, the Brazilian youngster arrived in England with high hopes.
A late substitute appearance for Swindon Town in the FA Cup, in a match where he made his debut and had a brief appearance against Norwich in the Premier League, was as good as it got for the Brazilian.
With the World Cup a year away and Brazil having a new manager, the transfer of Kayky is a sensible one in many respects. Fellow winger Jack Grealish appears set to join the Brazilian out of the exit door.
