Tottenham Hotspur is close to agreeing to a deal with Brentford for their manager Thomas Frank.
The Dane, who previously managed Danish side Brondby, will charge the North London side a compensation fee in the region of £10 million.
Frank, 51, is a manager whose sides play football in the ‘right way’, but he isn’t afraid to set his teams up pragmatically if necessary.
The former Brentford coach under Dean Smith has admirably stepped up into the role of the hot seat at G-Tech Community Stadium.
Frank’s appointment will raise questions, such as how he will adjust to life as a Champions League manager.
Only time will tell. It’s a step up for Thomas Frank, but with the most tremendous respect for Spurs, this is a downgrade from Ange Postecoglou.
I hope I am proven wrong.
