A last-gasp Alfonso Davies strike broke Celtic hearts as Bayern squeezed through to the round of 16. Coming into this game, The Bavarians were overwhelming favourites.
That didn’t matter to the visitors, Celtic, as Nicholas Kuhn had a shot cleared off the line. The home side did close with Harry Kane, who hit the bar, but this was a far from fluid Bayern.
Kuhn’s goal before half-time would be Celtic’s just desserts for a brilliant performance. Sadly, The Hoops couldn’t finish the job as Davies bundled home late.
So, 3-2 on aggregate, it ended in Bayern’s favour, but they shouldn’t be ashamed of their performance.
