Former Rangers and Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has been sacked after just 18 months in the role. The Liverpool legend and former LA Galaxy midfielder joined the Saudi Pro League and signed players like Demarai Gray and Firmino.
Despite the outlay on players, another player included former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who has since moved back to Europe with Ajax. The Saudi Arabian side were 12th when they decided to pull the trigger and dismiss the former Villa boss.
After enjoying some success with Rangers by winning their 55th Scottish Premier League title, Gerrard’s career as a manager has slightly stalled. A bit of due diligence is needed for both the man and a potential new club that would be looking to hire him.
