Former Manchester United assistant manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to become the new manager of Leicester City. As a player, Van Nistelrooy, a Manchester United and PSV legend, played for other top clubs such as Real Madrid and Hamburg.

As a coach, he has been an assistant to Van Gaal in the Dutch national team’s setup. Some may argue that the Dutchman might not have the experience to manage a club like Leicester; we disagree.

In Ruud’s homeland, he managed his former club, PSV, and in his one and only season, he won the Dutch Cup. It’s clear that when he was given the keys to take over the first team of Manchester United on an interim basis, he was a man with a plan.

For Leicester City, he will be a man with a plan there, too. It’s a talented squad that could have done better. Predecessor has been the victim of haste. To play good football is what The Foxes will do when The Van Man takes official charge.

What will be Man United’s loss will be Leicester’s gain.
