A Chris Wood goal helped Nottingham Forest see off Crystal Palace and move to eighth in the Premier League. What added to The Eagles’ woes was that Wood’s goal was courtesy of visiting goalkeeper Dean Henderson’s error.

The visitors did play their part in this game. Eberechi Eze and Eddie Nketiah both hit the woodwork for Palace, and Ryam Yates hit the post for The Pine Trees. Sadly for Oliver Glasner’s side, when it rains, it pours.

Individual errors are being seized upon, and the fact that they did have some good chances in the game is being overlooked. After this defeat, Crystal Palace remained in the bottom three, whereas Nottingham Forest moved to eighth.

Their rock-solid defence is vital to the East Midlands side’s rise up the table.
