Former Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool manager has agreed a deal to become Red Bull’s global head of soccer. Klopp will begin his role on 1st January 2025.

The energy drinks brand also has an interest in F1, and it owns football clubs RB Leipzig in Germany’s Bundesliga, RB Salzburg in the Austrian Bundesliga, New York Red Bulls in the MLS, and Brazilian Serie A side Red Bull Bragantino.

Regarding Jurgen Klopp’s role, Red Bull has said the Liverpool legendary manager will not be involved in day-to-day operations. Klopp will, however, advise teams on playing philosophy, transfer strategy and coaching development.

Congrats to Jurgen on his new job. With the former Dortmund manager taking this job, he will no doubt have broken some hearts who would have wished he would have become England’s new manager.
