Brighton have continued their busy summer with the signing of Leeds attacker Georginio Rutter. Rutter had a £40 million release clause which The Seagulls met. The former Hoffenheim man, 22, joins on a five-year deal.

Rutter played for former club Leeds in their opening Championship game of the season against Portsmouth. As mentioned previously, it’s been a busy summer of arrivals for Brighton, who have spent over £100 million on players in the summer window.

As for Championship side Leeds, it’s been a busy summer for departures. Summerville, Archie Gray and Georginio Rutter have left the club. Yes, it’s brought a healthy amount of money, but fans won’t care till they see replacements for the players sold.
