Former Manchester City academy graduate Tosin Adarabioyo, who was playing at Fulham has agreed a deal to join West London neighbours in a four-year deal. The deal will officially be done on a free transfer at the end of the month when the London player’s deal expires.
Adarabioyo was not short on offers, not only with rival clubs but even his current club Fulham wanted him to stay. The Cottagers tried to lure him to extend terms by making him one of the top earners at the club.
For Tosin Adarabioyo, the main reason why he wanted to join a club like Chelsea was due to being able to play European football. Newcastle did think they secured terms for the player, but when the deal collapsed this allowed The Blues to swoop, despite a late Manchester United bid.
Adarabioyo’s move to Chelsea will help ease the pain of losing talismanic centre-back Thiago Silva.
