RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner has rejoined Tottenham Hotspur on loan. Werner formerly of Chelsea and Stuttgart, rejoins the club after an encouraging loan spell last term.
There is the option to make the deal for £8.5million, down from the £15 million quoted last season.
The stats of two goals from 13 games is misleading, the 27-year-old was a good outlet on the left-hand side of the attack, which is why no doubt Ange Postecoglou wants Werner back in North London.
It must be noted even at Chelsea (10 goals in 56 games), he wasn’t that prolific. Timo Werner’s game isn’t goals he’s much more rounded than that, but if they could get the former Leipzig man to score goals, it would be a welcome release of pressure on star-man Son Heun-Min.
