Twelve-time FA Cup winners Manchester United got the better of rivals Manchester City, by winning their 13th FA Cup, after the beat City 2-1 in the final.
Goals from Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo put United in control. Man City weren’t quite their usual selves, something which City manager Pep Guardiola took responsibility for.
The Spaniard blamed himself for making tactical errors. As blunt as Manchester City might have been, Man United in contrast were sharper. For United manager Erik Ten Haag, he goes level with Jose Mourinho as Manchester United’s most successful manager post Sir Alex Ferguson, as far as trophies are concerned.
If rumours are to be believed, this FA Cup win is bittersweet as the former Ajax is set to be sacked. For now though, Man United’s manager and his players, it’s time to celebrate the FA Cup win.
