Barcelona have sacked its manager with former German and Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick set to replace him. Which we believe should be a mere formality as a verbal agreement is already in place between the two parties.
This whole saga, just reeks of unprofessionalism. Barca President Joan Laporta pleading and begging with Xavi to stay it seemed, only for Laporta to give him his marching orders, once the former midfielder agreed to stay at the club.
As a football fan coming on 30 years, I have not seen anything quite like it. I don’t think I will either. In Xavi Hernandez, The Catalans had a talented side, but it needed to be refreshed, but with what money?
Hansi Flick being appointed as manager will paper over some cracks for the short term, but even he will need to have the ability to sign players. Good players cost money and in that round circle, I go.
