Three-time defending Premier League champions made history as they won their fourth Premier League title in a row. Manchester United had won three titles in a row in the Premier League, as Huddersfield and Arsenal did in the Old First Division. 

Pep Guardiola’s side have the title in six of the last seven seasons, which has brought on a new era of dominance. The Cityzens now have the record of the most consecutive title wins of course (four) and also the biggest winning points margin in League history (19). 

Nearest challengers this year Arsenal pushed them close after they beat Everton on the final day to finish their season with 89 points. Amazingly, this wasn’t enough as City pipped The Gunners to the title by two points. 

Arsenal will be kicking themselves. Initially, they were in control of the title race, but their 2-0 home loss against Aston Villa would arguably be the turning point in their season and in turn the title race. 

Looking at the other side of the table, Luton Town who needed a 25-goal swing in their favour to survive going back down to the Championship, lost at home 4-2 to Fulham, which means The Hatters have been relegated after just one season in the Premier League.
