Southampton beat West Brom to maintain their push for getting promoted at the first time of asking after they beat Carlos Carberran’s West Brom 3-1. Just like in the other semi-final, the first leg finished 0-0.

What also happened that was the same in the second leg was that The Saints just had too much for their visitors. The Baggies got a consolation on the night, but this defeat means it’s another season in the Championship for them.

As for Southampton, they now face a mouth-watering match-up with Leeds, who finished third in the regular season. It was Russell Martin’s men who did the double over the Lillywhites in the regular season, but Daniel Farke’s side will want to avenge those defeats.
