Former Chelsea and Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has left his job as Lazio manager after a difficult campaign. The Rome outfit, who finished second in last season’s Serie A table have found things much more difficult this term.
There was the 1-0 over six-time Champions League winners to shout out about, but other than that, it’s been bleak. Last season’s top scorer Ciro Immobile, has been a shadow of his self this year.
Igor Tudor has since replaced Sarri, and it’s fair to say he will have some job on his hands. The former Juve defender who guided Marseille to third last term has to bridge a four-point gap to help Lazio get into Europe.
On the plus side, Le Aquile do have a semi-final against Juventus in the Italian Super Cup.
