After losing their last two tests, England have rang the changes for the fourth test in Ranchi. Mark Wood, who had played the last two tests is rested after bowling a lot of overs in the previous test match.

In his place, The tourists have opted for Ollie Robinson. The selection of Sussex’s Ollie Robinson, gives an idea of England’s thinking, as they have also called upon the taller Shoaib Bashir for this test too.

Bashir, comes in, in place of young leg-spinner Rehan Ahmed. With Robinson, Anderson, Hartley and of course Bashir, the tourists believe they will be at an advantage as they could get more out of the pitch that can extract bounce.

England with their taller bowlers should be able to do it naturally. As for India, they have opted to rest star bowler Jasprit Bumrah. Mukesh Kumar appears the man most likely to replace the 31-year-old.

At this point, it’s too early to say, but if England captain Ben Stokes can bowl, the visitors have a great chance of getting back into the series.
