India spinner, Ravi Ashwin will take no further part in the third test of the series between India and England, due to a family emergency. There were reports that the 37-year-old had to pull out of this test due to a matter concerning his mother.

At this point, we don’t want to overconsume you, or ourselves with speculating as to why Ravi Ashwin has to pull out of this test. Rules state, that India can only replace Ashwin with a substitute fielder, who can’t bat or bowl for him.
