It’s been too long, but the PSL is back! Yes, it may be the little brother to the IPL and the BBL, but the Pakistan Super League is in the big boys league. If it isn’t the fact that most of the games are well fought and that they’re well contested, then know that Michael Clarke will be in the comms box.
Not quite the Peter Drury of cricket, but he’s no Martin Tyler either. What makes the Super League enthralling is that, three seasons ago Lahore Qalandars hadn’t won the PSL, roll the clock forward to now, and they’re two-time defending champions.
In the IPL and the BBL, teams like the RCB and Melbourne Stars have never won their domestic T20 Leagues, everyone in Pakistan has now, which demonstrates a form of level playing field.

Islamabad and Lahore have won the PSL twice each, while Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, and Quetta have triumphed once. Lahore clinched the last two titles, in 2022 and 2023. Ahead of the league, Islamabad’s Tom Curran and Lahore’s Rashid Khan were ruled out of the 2024 edition with injuries.
