India have been rocked by the news that star player Virat Kohli will miss the rest of the ongoing series with England due to personal reasons. The BCCI confirmed the news on Saturday.

The 35-year-old former captain’s absence is of course a big blow, but just maybe, it will give a chance to players such as Safraz Khan, who has been impressing in this format for some time.

Kohli, who has played 113 Tests for India, is fourth on their list of all-time leading run-scorers with 8,848. It’s hard to say for sure, but one can’t help but feel that the King won’t have many more series left in him as a player.
