National League side Maidstone United continued their fairytale run in the FA Cup after they beat Championship high-flyers Ipswich 2-1. The Kent side took the lead twice in this fourth-round tie.

When Maidstone first took the lead, Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich pegged the visitors back with an equaliser.

The visitors would have been rocked by that equaliser, but to their credit, they dug in and battled back through a Sam Corne winner.

George Elokobi’s Maidstone rode their luck. The two goals his side scored were the only two they had on target throughout the whole game. As for Ipswich despite piling the pressure on the National League South side, they weren’t able to convert any chances.

So the cup run goes on for Maidstone who face either Convery City or Sheffield Wednesday in the next round. Talking of Cup upsets, Manchester United were taken all the way by League Two side Newport County.

The Welsh minnows who have been taken over this week by former Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins, battled back superbly after going 2-0 down. A replay looked like a possibility until Anthony and Hojlund helped United get through.

Bristol City or Nottingham Forest await Man United in round five. The FA Cup draw was announced yesterday, here it is in full.
