The Phillies and Jeff Hoffman agreed to a 1 year $2.2 million dollar contract.

The Phillies have agreed to one-year contracts and avoided arbitration with pitchers Jeff Hoffman, Gregory Soto and Ranger Suárez and infielder Edmundo Sosa. The club will exchange salary arbitration figures with infielder Alec Bohm.

Why Did They Agree To This Contract

The Phillies agreed to this contract with Jeff Hoffman because they saw they needed more bullpen pieces, and Jeff Hoffman is one of those bullpen pieces.

1. When Jeff Hoffman is healthy, and good, then he is very good out of the bullpen
