The transfer window is a week old and surprisingly there has been many transfers to date. Sure Donny van de Beek has signed for Eintracht Fraknkfurt on loan, but I mean Kylian Mbappe has moved to Real Madrid, yet.

With financial fair play making it’s way into the planning of Europe’s top clubs, it can be argued that FFP is the wake up call, that the clubs at Europe’s top table didn’t want, but most certainly needed.

I am scraping the barrel here. One of the biggest transfers is Sasha Kaljadzic joining Eintracht Frankfurt on loan.

The Austrian who was plying his trade at Wolves before this loan, struggled to get to the heights he could at Molineux due to a combination of injuries.

English Premier League champions in recent years Manchester City have been operating on a selling before buying principle, so they won’t sell players mid season.

I know City manager seems to do strange things in the market to challenge himself almost, but even he would surely dare to do something this risky, at this stage.

Even Manchester United, who are part owned by INEOS, who own French side Nice, even they with all their marketing prowess and endorsements are feeling the need to be spending sensibly, so they don’t all foul of FFP.

Fellow Premier League side Chelsea, despite what their manager Mauricio Pochettino says, will be forced to largely do the same as the other top clubs.

So with that in mind, it looks like Victor Osimehn and Ivan Toney will be staying put for now. Both players by their clubs have reportedly been valued at £100 million+.

The transfer window still has three weeks to run, so here’s to hoping clubs will be able to get some January sales of their own.
