You would be forgiven for thinking, this next quote is to describe Chelsea or Watford; “They have had six managers in eight years”.

You will be surprised to know, that this quote isn’t referring to Chelsea or Watford, two clubs whose owners notoriously have no patience when it comes to hiring managers.

Once upon a time, this extreme sacking culture was commonplace in Italy, arguably it’s much calmer these days.

Football fans, I am referring to League Two side Salford City, the club which is under the ownership of Manchester United legends Gary Neville, Paul Scholes, David Beckham and the rest of the Class Of 92.

Salford have appointed the experienced Karl Robinson as their new manager. Like Graham Alexander before him, Gary Bowyers before him and Richie Wellens before him.

I find this surprising as the sextet who have a stake in Salford, would have grown up with Sir Alex being the manager of course.

In the case of Garry Neville and Paul Scholes who spent their entire career at Old Trafford, they would have been used to being managed by one manager, what a legendary manager he was.

So with that in mind, I find it astounding that their patience with their managers is so thin.

Bradford City is another big club that is stuck in League Two, which proves the point it’s not an easy League to get out of.

Here at the-sports-buff.com, we wish the former MK Dons boss the best, he’s done a respectable job wherever he has been.

He will need time, managers need time. Even the great Sir Alex and Pep Guardiola could only get success as they were given time.
Just bear that in mind Garry and the rest of your Class of 92 pals.
