They say you can’t win the title in a week, but you can potentially lose it. Arsenal currently in this predicament after losing 2-1 to London rivals Fulham.

Both sides came into this one on the back of some bad results. For the hosts Fulham, they lost their last two and for The Gunners they have lost one and drawn one over the festive period.

When Bukayo Saka scored to give Arsenal the lead, Fulham must have been fearing the worst. To their credit however, the home side hit back through goals from the in-form Raul Jimenez and Decodorva-Reid.

This latest defeat means that Mikel Arteta‘s men have one just once in their last six. Some may say it’s too early too call, but it appears Arsenal’s title challenge has ended in January.

Yes there will be twists and turns from now till the end of the season, but make no mistake this is a damaging loss for The Gunners.
