Hello, good morning cricket fans, in particular, I hope you’re well, looking after yourselves and are in good health.
Cricket fans, we have spoken about Australia, and what felt like against all odds becoming world champions for a sixth time.
What made that accomplishment all the more impressive was that The Baggy Green had lost their first two games in the tournament and notoriously they have struggled in the Sub Continent.
With the dust settled down, the cricket calendar is still just as hectic, and jam-packed and has little room to move around any schedules.
All in all, it’s a busy period in world cricket. To ease the burden such a period will put on players, many sides have opted to rest players who played in the recently concluded World Cup.
England will travel to West Indies with a nearly different team to the one that was in India, as will India themselves when they face off against Pat Cummins’ side in a T20I series.
The very talented Suryakumar Yadav leads the side in Rohit Sharma’s and Hardik Pandiya’s absence.
India’s neighbours and arch-rivals will also be making several changes to their playing personnel when they go Down Under for a test series with World Test Champions Australia.
Pakistan have not only installed a new coach in the form of Mohammed Hafeez and a new chief selector Abdul-Wahab Riaz.
Not deterred from doing anything too hectic at the start of the World Test Championship cycle, the 1992 ODI World champions have appointed Shaan Masood as test captain, with Saed Ajmal is spin-bowling coach and Umar Gul coaching the quicks.
The men in green don’t quite know how to have the proverbial quiet night in. Cricket fans, just in case you thought that cricket would be taking a back seat after a gruelling five-week World Cup, then you couldn’t be more wrong.
