Tottenham have been rocked by the news that James Maddison will be out of action until the New Year.

Maddison, who was a summer signing from Leicester has been in superb form since signing for Spurs from The Foxes.

The 26-year-old has an ankle injury which was sustained in the loss against Chelsea on Monday night.

James Maddison’s injury adds to the increasingly lengthy absentees for boss Ange Postecoglou.

Fellow summer signing Micky van de Ven will also be out until 2024, the former Wolfsburg man has injured his hamstring.

This injury setback for Maddison in particular is no doubt a big blow.
The former Coventry man we felt would have been a dead cert to have played a significant part of the matches between Malta and North Macedonia.
