Three-time Champions League winners Manchester United, breathed some life into their Champions League campaign with a narrow 1-0 against FC Copenhagen.
After losing their first two games in the group stages, something which The Red Devils had never done before, Erik Ten Haag’s men needing a win against the Danish champions edged this won 1-0.
This narrow win and a clean sheet, brought some calm from the first two games, as just like they hadn’t lost their opening two games in the Champions League, they hadn’t shipped in seven, in the opening games before.
Former Ajax manager Erik Ten Haag’s side got the result they wanted, surprisingly it was Harry Maguire who would grab the winner.
The former United skipper has been painted as something of a pantomime villain, due to his errors leading to goals.
Neither Maguire, nor United will care about the way they won in tonight’s game, all that matters is that their Champions League campaign is back on track.
FC Copenhagen in Copenhagen, await Ten Haag’s Red Devils.
