Legendary Spanish defender Sergio Ramos has agreed to an emotional return to boyhood club Sevilla. The well-decorated defender, who played all across the back line returns to Andalusia, where it all began.

The 37-year-old Ramos, was a fresh-faced 18-year-old back in 2005 when Real Madrid acquired his services from the Europa League winners Sevilla.

In the next 16 years, Sergio Ramos turned into a man from being a boy. He was a leader of men too, many great men as Los Blancos went through their famed Galatico era.

It was all too easy, to associate Ramos with someone who had red mist, which to a point is true, but his leadership skills on the field and off the field are amongst the best.

It was the anger, for want of a better way to put it, that seemed to drive him most. Sergio Ramos in his prime was the epitome of passion.
The 37-year-old is still just as professional and driven as ever, but sadly injuries have been mounting up for Ramos.

This is probably the reason why the Sevilla trainee wasn’t able to perform at a consistent level at the Parc des Princes.

There is nothing he didn’t win at club level, nor was there at the International level. The former PSG man was central to Spain’s success when they won back-to-back European titles and a World Cup too, from 2008 to 2012.

Overpaid, fame-hungry primidone is a tag that’s always labelled on a footballer, but in the case of Sergio Ramos and even Santi Cazorla, they’re romantics at heart.

Former Arsenal midfielder Cazorla agreed to move back to Real Oviedo, his local team and the team that gave him his big break.
