Premier League champions and league leaders Manchester City have verbally agreed a deal to sign Wolves midfielder Matthes Nunes.

Nunes, who used to play for Sporting Lison was signed by Wolves for £38 million. If this deal goes through, the Midlands club will sell him for a fee in the region of £47.3 million.

Former Sporting midfielder Nunes has been brought in to address the Kevin De Buyne problem, which can never truly be addressed.

The 25-year-old, who was a target of Liverpool in the past, was so determined to move to the treble winners, that he stopped attending training.

Having let Nunes leave, Wolves have agreed a deal to sign Man City’s Tommy Doyle, initially on loan with an option to buy for £4.3 million.
