Chelsea have signed goalkeeper Robert Sanchez from Premier League rivals Brighton for £25 million plus add-ons.
The West London club sold Edouard Mendy to Al-Ahli and were in need of some goalkeeping reinforcements.
Sanchez, who was number one at the Amex Stadium, towards the end of last season lost his place to Jason Steele.
With the signing of Bart Verbruggen from Anderlecht, the writing seemed to be on the wall for the Spaniard, so a departure was always likely.
This deal also sees yet another player join move from the South Coast to West London. Brighton’s goalkeeping coach made the move too!
