Two-time defending World Champion Max Verstappen held off Britain’s Lando Norris in his McLaren to win his eighth race in 10 races.
The Red Bull driver who also won in Austria last week, although was challenged, ultimately had too much for the chasing pack.
Verstappen, who is a whopping 99 points ahead of his nearest rival and team-mate Sergio Perez, could win his third world title in record time.
In other races, Max Verstappen could have been forgiven for going into cruise control (pardon the pun), but at Silverstone, the 25-year-old had to work for this win.
Seven-time World champion Lewis Hamilton continues his resurgence with a third-place finish. The F1 season continues on the week commencing 21st July in Hungary.
