Former Hoffenheim and Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has signed for Saudi Pro League said Al-Ahli on a three-year deal.
The Brazil forward, 31, was a free agent after his Liverpool contract expired at the end of last season.
Firmino, who spent eight years at Anfield scored 111 goals in 362 games for the Reds after joining from Hoffenheim in 2015.
With the departure of the popular 31-year-old Brazilian, it means that only Mohammed Salah remains from Liverpool’s famous front three of Salah, Firmino and Mane.
The trio won all that there was to win club football together. The Champions League, Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, European Super Cup and the Club World Cup.
Al-Ahli’s signing of Bobby Firmino is their second signing from the Premier League. Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy joined earlier in the transfer window.
Arguably not the greatest goal scorer, Roberto Firmino was a player who scored great goals. Loved by Liverpool fans, disrespected by rival fans, one thing is for certain there will only be one Bobby.
Real Madrid were reportedly in for Firmino as were Italian giants Juventus. The Sports Buff team wish you all the best at your new club.
Not all would admit it, but the Premier League will be a bit empty with you gone.
