Hello, good morning sports fans, it’s, me Ayyaz Malik aka The Sports Buff. I hope you’re well looking after yourselves and are in good health. Sports fans we need to talk about football, to be more precise Manchester United.

Man United, the 20-time Premier League champions, have not won the League title since 2013, 10 years! For a club of United’s stature, this is a long time.

Arch-rivals Liverpool have moved one Premier League title closer and now have 19. This was the long-running joke. Look at Liverpool haha, ‘It’s going to be our year’, now Manchester United fans say this as The Reds actually win trophies.

Liverpool not winning the Premier League was comedy gold as Leicester and relegated Blackburn have, but that’s changed and if it wasn’t for Manchester City, a normal super team on steroids, Jurgen Klopp’s side would have won two League titles more at least!

One of the reasons for this is the way they operate. From matters on the pitch to matters off it, yes I mean transfer dealings. Sports fans, I will try not to moan and whinge and cry a hard-knock life story, but the Glazers!

This name means and provokes so much, not good, all bad, till the last drop. The iconic Theatre of Dreams is a Theatre of Daydreams, it’s stuck in the last decade.

Since the Glazer family takeover, West Ham have got a swanky new stadium, so have Tottenham and them noisy not down the road, have a good stadium too.

Yes, City moved into The Etihad before The Glazers came, but I am saying Old Trafford is no way near the standard of any of those stadiums. With respect, The Red Devils have more titles than all these sides combined, but yet all of them have left United behind.

This summer window they have with the transfer dealings they have concluded.

Tottenham have made two signings, and Manchester City have sold a player and bought one. West Ham have all but sold their captain (Declan Rice) and will no doubt act swiftly to replace him.

Manchester United in that time? Dragged their heels about giving David DeGea a new deal and bid three times for Mason Mount. To make the Mount story even more so funny (yes sarcasm), United now want to explore signing Caicedo.

If you think that name sounds familiar, yes that’s the same they could have bought for £5 million! This club loves to outdo itself, they sold Pogba for free, bought him for a fee in the region of £90 million, to only sell him for free again. You can’t make this up!

Current Manchester United boss Erik Ten Haag is someone I feel sorry for. The former Ajax boss was a part of the Ajax Amsterdam set-up, he was the manager there of course.

The Dutch giants were impeccably run and had a water-tight operation on how smooth the transfer process was. Man United, take note, please! Your example is right there.

Also, learn to walk away from a deal. There have been just too many times, United don’t know how to do this. Antony last term and Mason Mount this. Arsenal have all but signed Declan Rice and Man City did what? They walked away from the deal.

That’s big club mentality, right there. Reportedly City will look to sign Gabri Veiga, which we think they will do as well. Declan Rice is good, but he’s not a £100 million player City thought and they acted swiftly by walking away.

In contrast, Man United have spent too long on this Mason Mount deal and are making mistakes of old. Sorry to paint a negative picture, but it is not pretty. Let’s not even go there about the United takeover.

In the past 10 years, that’s really summed up Manchester United.
